Our client, Eastport Financial Group, is a Financial Advisory organization located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Their main goal was simply to start getting more awareness built for the brand, generate more traffic to their assets, and start connecting with more ideal . With 68% of online experiences begin with a search engine, SEO was at the forefront for their digital marketing strategy.
With a handful of services that needed a lot of help visibility wise, we looked at how we can could increase their organic traffic of the most relevant potential users.
While Local SEO can be pretty straight forward, in this case, we needed to attract customers not just locally but also across Canada.
Not an easy task by itself, but it makes it even more challenging when some of your top competitors are Billion dollar brands (JP Morgan, Edward Jones, CIBC, and other banking institutions.
A few things needed to happen in this case. We needed to clean up the pages on the website so they were structured better for their actual offerings, as well as the target locations. We we’re able to determine the gaps between them and their competitors, and help create a strategy on closing it. Finally, we created a strong content road map that would help guide them for years to come.

The Results - 340% Increase In Organic Traffic!
Before we started working on the website, our client typically was getting around 2 hits a day organically. While traffic is generally low to sites in the local financial space, this typically wouldn’t equate to an increase in conversations.
Within a 3 month window, we were able to increase this to well over 20 hits per day! This is essentially 10x-ing their online visibility.

When we started the campaign, our client was only ranking for 55 total keywords. Within 3 months, we hit 205. Top10 Keywords also dramatically increased.
