Search Engine Optimization

Have questions about SEO?
We don't believe in locking in our clients to long term contracts, we'd rather show results to you and your business. Most campaigns should expect no less than 3-6 months to reach a point of success with SEO. The vast majority of our clients prefer to stay with us for more than 24 months.
We use a 6 point strategy to give our clients an upper hand in their city. All of our packages include a monthly SEO report and a strategy call. If you would like a more in-depth explanation of our process, check out our blog "Our Local SEO Process for Dominating Your Market"
Over the last 10 years, I have consulted with over 2000 small and medium-sized businesses. I have helped over a hundred local businesses rank highly on Google, from small markets to bigger markets like Toronto, New York, and Calgary. With no contracts, we build trust with our clients by delivering results!
Search engine optimization is no different from everything else you do in business – you need to keep working at it to stay on top. Search engines are constantly changing their demands and it can be very time consuming to keep up with these changes. What ranks well with a search engine one week may not be so important the next. With Social Spike, we are constantly ensuring the creation of fresh new content each month (PS. Google Loves this). We also analyze the data and see where there are new areas of opportunity, but also reflect on areas of improvement on the current website. This goes hand in hand with everything else we provide each month to help push your business to the top of the Search Engines.
Good high-quality content helps generate a higher click-through rate to your website - Google considers your CTR as an important factor to rank your website - the more you get users to click on your links, the greater are your chances of getting better rankings on search engines. Also, having content that is relevant to your industry can help your website rank for national level terms and keywords. What happens then, is because you're establishing your website as an authoritative figure in the eyes of Google on specific topics relates to your niche, it ends up making you that much more relevant locally for prospects searching for similar items/topics related to your business.
Both in terms of the technical elements and the content on the website, it is easily the most important factor for your overall ranking. Wait, not link building? Nope, links definitely have a place in SEO but if your website is mess, none of it will really matter. Google doesn't want to send traffic to a site that doesn't have their act together, not anymore. That is why the vast majority of our SEO focus is optimizing this and ensuring your site goes beyond anyone else in your local market.
There are quite a few reasons! 1- We are partnership focused. Our objective is your success. Are you really going to stick around if we can't deliver? Unlikely right? We work with you even beyond just SEO, if we see another area where we can give our digital marketing advice, we will freely discuss this with you so it can benefit your business (regardless if we make a dime from it or not). 2- We work towards attracting more leads, phone calls, form submissions and ultimately, more sales. 3- We charge very fair rates for the amount of value and ROI we produce for our clients. If we believe we can't achieve the proper results needed for you to obtain a positive ROI, then we would be transparent about this each time. 4- We routinely are able to deliver results within a 90 day period, this means less time patiently waiting for the needle to move.
SEO Prices can vary depending on the goals and objectives. Local-level SEO differs from a National Level campaign due to the complexities and the competition. An SEO Audit or Consultation also differs from a monthly service fee. If you would to learn more, check out our blog "How Much Does SEO Cost?"
Think about this. Google handles about 3-3.5 billion searches each day and accounts for nearly 88% of all mobile searches. Google Maps marketing can impact the way Google views your business and how or if it appears in organic search in what is known as the local 3-pack. Google Map Results (local 3-pack) appear at the top of the page in this Google Search. Google Maps can help funnel hundreds, if not thousands of potential customers toward your business information each and every month. Unless your business ranks in the 3-pack, your chance of being found is exponentially lower. That is why Google Maps Marketing is generally considered to be not only the most important element of local SEO, but also the area that generates the highest level of ROI.

Website Design

Have questions about SEO?
Yes! While we do offer monthly maintenance packages, there website is yours to do whatever it is you wish. Because our sites are built on either Wordpress or Shopify, it is easy to hand everything over to you at any time. So no worries about renting out the website or losing everything if we split ways ay any point.
We use Wordpress for our local business websites and we use Shopify for any of our ecommerce website builds. Both are amazing platforms and can be setup so our clients have their own opportunities to be able to use and edit the sites if they choose to do so.
Your website is your digital business card. Without a website, it can be extremely hard to generate traffic from search engines like Google. While referrals and word of mouth advertising is amazing, that doesn't always put food on your table. If you don't have a website, it means that your potential prospects are finding your competitor's sites, and guess what? They're getting all the business....or at least 70% of it!
Are you looking to sell products online? That would require building on an eCommerce platform like Shopify. If you are local business providing services, we like to use Wordpress to build out your websites.
So it is a combination of factors. First and foremost, we don't want to overcomplicate the matter. Some people want the website to be overly flashy and that is the wrong approach. You want something clean, crisp with your branding on point, with high-quality content that both attracts the attention of the users, but also good. Sprinkle in the Call to actions in the right spots, and you have an attractive medium to educate, build trust and start getting leads coming through.
A website can have varying degrees of cost depending on what is needed. One page websites can cost around $500, whereas a custom developed site could run you tens of thousands of dollars. It really depends on the need. Do you want the person managing the site each month as well? That could run you anywhere from $59-$299 per month. Do you need Search Engine Optimization done to help with the ranking? That could cost you hundreds more. I would say to really expect the costs to around $1500-2000 for a fully laid out, SEO optimized website.
Here are some ideas to choose from to determine what’s necessary for your website versus what’s not: Service pages for each of your main services, About us, with team members, Newsletter signup, Social integration, Site search, Third-party app integrations (CRM, marketing automation software, etc.), Accept payments, Blog, Contact forms
We typically expect the website design and development to take about 3-4 weeks. This will also depend on the level of changes needed or revisions. The quicker and less demanding the changes are, the faster the site can go live.
Our websites are designed with ranking in mind, but that being said, there is more to ranking than just have a website in place. There are elements that have to constantly be adjusted, refreshed and added. So while we have had clients rank in smaller markets with just a new website in place, if you are really looking to rank on Google, I suggest you check out our Local SEO Services.
